Professor Chopade’s 3 research students viz; Sunil Bhamare, Dhananjay Kunte and Miss Anita Mukherjee obtained Young Scientist Awards instituted by 18th International Congress of Chemotherapy (ICC), Stockholm, Sweden (27th June – 3rd July, 1993 ) for the research work on molecular genetics of antibiotic resistance in Acinetobacter genospecies. Out of 6 awards in the world, 3 were awarded to the research students of Professor B.A. Chopade.
